Coir Fibre

We are involved in processing of coir fiber a versatile natural fibre extracted from the husk of the coconut fruit. Coir Fiber is of two types–brown and white. Coir obtained from fresh green coconut is termed as White Fiber. The Brown Fiber is the outcome of seasoned fully matured coconuts. Generally fibre is of golden color when cleaned after removing from coconut husk, hence the name " The Golden Fibre". We offer competitive rates and also customize the coir fiber to suit the specific requirements of our clients.

Uses of Brown coir fibre:

Brown coir fibre is used in brushes, doormats, mattresses and sacking. It is also made into twine. Pads of curled brown coir fibre are used to make “Erosion control blankets” to control soil erosion on river banks and hillsides. A major proportion of brown coir pads are sprayed with rubber latex which bonds the fibres together (rubberized coir) to be used as upholstery padding for the automobile industry in Europe. The material is also used for insulation and packaging.

Uses of White coir fibre:

The major use of white coir is in rope manufacture. Mats of woven coir fibre are made from the finer grades of bristle and white fibre using hand or mechanical looms. Coir is recommended as substitute for milled peat moss because it is free of bacteria and fungal spores.
